Summary Financials
Stop One Distribution is paid in AUD, and .67 was chosen as the constant currency conversion between AUD and USD. DistroKid is paid in USD.

Royalties increased dramatically starting in 2020 as a result of the released and popularity of the breakthrough single, “Heartbroken,” followed the various versions and remixes of this title, most notably, “Heartbroken Twenty Twenty,” by Mike Zombie & DJ Jayhood. Since these releases were rather recent, the decline of the earnings have still yet to stabilize, but can expect between $200 – 500 USD to be paid monthly across the top titles.
Â
By Payer:

DistroKid contains 101 titles, featuring many of the top earners with an increase in 2024 largely driven by the song, “Giddy Up (feat. Ani),” from YouTube and Apple Music despite the song being released in 2019. Peak royalties in 2022 and 2023 follow the natural consumption and delay curve for the top two songs, “Heartbroken,” and “Heartbroken Twenty Twenty.”
Stop One Distribution had an outsized payment in August 2024 for the song, “One Time,” coming from Spotify in the amount of $3,843.88 even though the song was released in 2019.
Further information is included in the detailed data linked near the end of this listing.
Â
By Title:

85% of the catalog is concentrated within the top 8 titles, and with the exception of the one-time payment for the song, “One Time,” the earnings on these titles are largely in their decline, but need to monitor the catalog over the next year for songs reaching a steady state. The top two titles, “Heartbroken,” and its alternate version, can expect payments in the low to mid hundreds per month.
Â
By Income Source:

Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music collectively made up over 90% of this catalog’s earnings. With the exception of the aforementioned increase from Spotify on the song, “One Time, average earnings on these sources are approx. $175 per month.
Â
Summary
Overall, we can expect this catalog to continue earning in the range of approx. $12K – 15K annually due to its diversified set of top earners (top 85% is amongst 8 key titles) across streaming platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. Also, the various versions of the top song, “Heartbroken,” has proven its ability to be interpolated into different recordings by top artists, and might have a future opportunity for further sample licensing in the future.
Future earnings need to be monitored however, as older recordings are currently being offset by newer released, such as, “One Time,” which as mentioned before, had a large payment from Spotify in recent months.
